And an editor's note on the above: This is my favorite video from the March 20-22 Journey Revisited gig at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts - and Team JR shot a lot of footage there. I covered this song specifically to capture lead singer Jeff Salado's fantastic emotive qualities close up on this pairing of classic songs "Lights" and "Stay Awhile" -- it was great to be there to capture it for the fans out there in the back rows at shows and others around the country who don't get to see JR like this. Every show around the country in 2015 has sold out so far, btw! This is a great example of why they pack the venues - fidelity to the legendary arena-rock band's Perry-era sound. Journey Revisited excelled at Covina during the three-night run; it was a privilege to work this landmark gig. Thank you for unforgettable performances, Jeff, Val, David, Michael, Kevin -- and on night 3, Gary Ponder on skins.

Covina gives Journey Revisited a standing ovation during 3-day sell-out, standing-room-only gig

What a gig this was! Three days of sold-out/standing room only dates at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts this weekend...the guys at Journey Revisited made a big splash in the L.A. market with unbelievable performances.

Lead vocalist Jeff Salado outdid himself on Sunday; he was on fire, filling the theatre with his amazing, bell-clear, Perry-tone pipes. Each night the band brought classic Journey to the house and blew the roof off. JR brought the audience to their feet for a standing ovation last night. How about some smokin' hot video: Lovin', Touchin', Squeezing/Any Way You Want It:

Kudos to David Hawkes (drums), Michael Gonzales (bass, vox), Kevin Jachetta (keys, vox), and the incredible Val Popovic, guitar, vox). And many thanks to Gary Ponder for an ace job on skins Sunday.

Team JR (Jennie Yaeger and I - Tami Baloy, you were missed) held down the support fort, doing video and still photography as well as a host of this and that to make sure the guys would shine. Boy, did they!

The media took notice -- the band was interviewed by PHAT Inc Magazine, an L.A. music and culture multimedia outlet, so we're stoked!

Got your tickets for Journey Revisited's hot three-day L.A.-area gig at Covina?

JR's original two-day gig, March 20-21 -- its first tour in the Los Angeles area -- at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts had such strong advance sales that a third show, on Sunday the 22nd, was added by the venue! Journey Revisited lead singer Jeff Salado is stoked:
"With the show in Covina Ca coming up and nearly all 3 days are sold out, who's bought and paid for tickets to come see JR at Covina Center for the Performing Arts, March 20-22?"

It's going to be a blast -- everyone is looking forward to seeing JR die-hards and to meet new fans during this series of gigs. See you there!
